I'm completing an AP build and am at the point of bending and placing the shoulder straps.  I am a short guy so don't have much of a gap between the chest and back plates.  Even if I place the shoulder pieces as far back as possible (so almost abutting the console in the rear), they still come pretty far forward on the chest.  I have attached a photo (ignore the tape) to illustrate this.  I'm wondering if this is too far forward of if it is alright.  I really don't think I can pull the chest and back plates any further apart and it still fit. Any advice or suggestions would be very helpful.

Hi Zefram.

You look good. Attached is my chest and how it looks when it is complete for comparison. I only have a shot from the back. :) But it looks similar to mine. Hope that helps.

count 5 ribs up on the shoulder bridges. That will put you there. Make sure, though, you have them angled correctly to curve and sit nicely on the back plate
