Flyrail47
I discovered that the neck seal I was given is a few inches too big for my neck. It's a zipper enclosure so I can't exactly adjust it. Should I replace the neck seal altogether? Or should I put velcro on both ends to make it adjustable? I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
dejango[TK]
Could we get a picture for reference?
Flyrail47
My apologies. I should've thought of that in the first place. The neckseal is made of a mesh/cloth fabric. It's 20in in circumference with a connecting zipper, whereas my neck size is 15.5in.
Flyrail47
It was given to me by a member of the 501st who sold his armor.
justjoseph63[Staff]
That definitely looks way too loose, William. If you (or someone you know) can sew, I would go the Velcro route. If not, I highly recommend one of Darman's: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/21385-darmans-neck-seals/?hl=%2Bdarman+%2Bneck+%2Bseals. which are available in either Velcro or with a zipper. Just remember you don't want it too tight. I keep mine a bit loose for comfort.
humperdingle
Must admit, I like a bit of space around the Adam's apple.
Flyrail47
Thank you gentleman. I've been looking at Darman's neck seals for awhile and they're definitely appealing. Seeing as how I've still got awhile before my setup is ready, I'll probably replace it with one of his.
