#1 do most of you make a chin strap for the bucket ? If so gimme some ideas if not I'm good then lol

#2 my sound system has a strap for the speaker. Dose it work just as well using this vs putting it with Velcro to the inside of the chest. Just looking at field tested ideas.

Hey Robert. I did have a chin strap in my bucket but I ended up taking it out. I feel that there really isn't much of a need for it. I know I haven't been in any live action troops where I get shot by a blaster and thrown in the air, do a dipsy do, and land on my back yet. I guess then you would need it. Maybe another member who has been attacked by rebel scum can elaborate more.

As for question #2 I velcroed my amp in my chest plate. It's worked well for me so far.

Ok well I'm testing the waters brother don't think I'll need it also, but I like to see. As for the speaker was just wondering cause I like the fact that the speaker will be on a strap easy on/off but the strap may be visible but I'm thinking hiding it will be no problem.

I don't use a chin strap, Robert, and I don't think I have ever seen anyone who does. Unless you plan on doing cartwheels, (not advised) you shouldn't need one. As long as you have padding on the sides to keep it from sliding around you should be fine.

I used to have my speaker (a 10 watt Aker, which is more than loud enough) attached with Velcro to the chest plate, but now I use the strap. I put it on before my neck seal so that no one sees it, it hangs just behind my chest plate, and because of the size, it doesn't make the chest bulge out. I had a 12 watt, but found it a bit too bulky.

I think for my first troop I will try the strap under the neck seal.

Here's a hint, though, Robert... Before you actually put on your chest armor, hold the piece itself in place after turning on the amp so you can do a sound check and set the volume level correctly. Making adjustments afterward can be difficult. (Trust me, LOL).

I used a chin strap. I have a big head and can't really pad it as securely as I'd like so a chin strap helps stop it moving about.

My aker is strapped to my chest plate with a strap and poppers but it broke free on my last troop so I need to update this.
