ayen_s[TK] Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 (edited) I am starting my build to have my own E-11. No stormtrooper is complete without their E-11 blaster. Due to restriction in importing weapon look alike item into my country, i went with a Doopydoos E-11 resin full kit. Less risk for it to be confiscated by customs etc. Doing a build thread so I can compile my research and findings while waiting for the kit to arrive. Reference build thread: 1. Themaninthesuitcase 2. T-Jay 3. DM101 3. Painting the Doopydoos E-11 Upgrade parts: Below are my wish list for better looking E-11 1. T-Jay Completion Sets for E-11 2. Gazmosis Replacement Magazines 3. Suitcase Props 3D Printed E-11 parts 4. Screen-accurate E11 Power Cylinders 5. E-11 Blaster D-Ring Trooperbay Tools: 1. Super glue 2. Tamiya putty 3. Grey Surfacer paint 4. Silver gloss paint 5. Black gloss paint (body) 6. Black satin paint (grip) 7. Brass satin paint (scope) 8. Gunmetal satin paint (t-tracks) 9. Paint brush 10. Sand paper 11. T-Jay[TK] Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Hi Ahmad, this start looks very promising You made your homework. If you decide to take a Completion Set, you can remove the following items from your list, because they are in the set already: - D-Ring - super glue - putty (green stuff) - Aluminum flat bar - and the hex-screws for the muzzle and grip Just send a PM if you are interested... Checking your tools-list, I noticed you are planning to paint the grip in satin black and the gun body in gloss black. May I suggest to read chapter #28 (painting) and possibly swap this? The T-tracks on the original guns in the movie were made of black plastic. Not sure how these will look like in gunmetal grey but that color would definitely be a good choice for the inner bolt and the ejection port area. Please don't get me wrong, I don't want to tell you how to build your blaster. Just wanted to mention a few things. Whatever you do, if you work at the same level as your first posting above, this will become a very good E-11 2 Quote

ayen_s[TK] Posted May 24, 2017 Author Report Posted May 24, 2017 Putting this blaster build on hold. The E-11 blaster kit I ordered from Doopy Doos never arrived. Refund was requested and granted by Pay Pal. Case close. Quote

sla73 Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 Yeah, I was hoping to submit Centurion application with my own blaster. Well, have to move on. Sent from my M631Y using Tapatalk I have the same problem here in Australia, luckily for my first build my doopy kit got through customs. But for my second build I have been ordering the parts separately from a few diffident sources and all bits have got through so far.. I think all I still need is the pipe.. Good luck Syahrin! Quote
ayen_s[TK] Posted August 3, 2017 Author Report Posted August 3, 2017 Last month, on early July, I decided to give Doopy Doos another chance. Reorder with them together with another Malaysia Garrison member. After a month waiting, I received the E-11 blaster kit. 2 Quote

ayen_s[TK] Posted November 1, 2017 Author Report Posted November 1, 2017 (edited) Light and sound mod: Light and sound mod is non cannon. But I think it is fun and interactive to have it in a blaster. I was inspired from these topics: 1. First dedicated Arduino board for Blasters - welcome the Stardust "B" 2. arduino: a cheap board for E11 blaster effects Components: 1. DFPlayer 2. Micro SD Card (16GB) 3. 0.5W 8Ohm Speaker 4. Push button switch 5. 5V power bank 6. Wiring I am going for a simple DFPlayer MP3 board to play the sound. So far I able to play 2 file of sound. Dracotrooper Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Wow, my sentiment as well - having a blaster that has lights and sound, really takes it to the next level. After a ton of research on Arduino and related components, I concluded my skills with electronics were too limited so I opted for the 'ready to install' version. Went with a BlastFX from Paul - it will arrive shorty by mail soon, can't wait 1 Quote
