MyBuddyBossk[501st] Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) You guys really think those lines in the back'll be 501st passable? Either way I'm pretty pumped about mine, still. Can't really beat $80 for a good looking bucket, even if it'll take some mods to spiff it up. Edited September 13, 2016 by MyBuddyBossk Quote
Vatta Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Wow, I'm kinda surprised Hasbro put the speaker vents in the back like that, as well as the battery compartment. Nothing that can't be fixed, but still its odd that the placement is so different from their previous helmets. Still going to get one though. Quote
MyBuddyBossk[501st] Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Wrote this on the RPF thread as well and I'm sticking with my guns when I say that every time I look at those photos, they make the vent and compartment in the back look like they're almost supposed to be there ya know? It's not just like slapped on there if that makes any sense. Really excited for mine! Quote
ggriffaw Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 It might be a little odd to hear the voice coming out of the back of the helmet when you are facing the person wearing the helmet. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk Quote
slabgood[TK] Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 That's one way to reduce feedback Quote
GandalfTheImperial Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 These BS series buckets are expensive here in Australia $149.00 Aus plus $30 shipping, even so, I still preordered one (A sucker and his money are easily parted lol) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk really? at my local pop cultcha shop its a lil over $200 in Australia... were getting ripped off, cheaper to buy online. 1 Quote
GandalfTheImperial Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 I really dont mind the speaker and battery position, easily fixed with bondo and a gloss white tamiya im not using the voice changer if that helps, they sound terrible anyway... Quote

pandatrooper[TK] Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 Has anyone noticed that these don't look like 1:1 scale? They look a bit small. So was the Kylo Ren helmet. Quote

I've seen some pics of the bs kylo ren being the exact scale of the prop shop helmet..... In Hasbro we trust, In Rubies we despise. 1 Quote
MyBuddyBossk[501st] Posted September 18, 2016 Report Posted September 18, 2016 That speaker'll be an easy fix. Just gotta fill it, sand it down and repaint it. Should be a fun project. Quote

Frat-man-du[TK] Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Fun to bang around and modify vs a bucket at 2 or 3x the cost... Quote

ggriffaw Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 I realize this Shadow Trooper helmet isn't cannon, but I wonder if the blue tube stripes will affect the Shadow Trooper CRL. It only lists black stripes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk Quote
MyBuddyBossk[501st] Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Just got a notification that my helmet finally left the Arizona warehouse. FedEx is estimating next Wednesday. Quote
Rookhelm[TK] Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Probably a stretch, but any chance this can be used for an ANH build? With some modifications maybe? Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Probably with modifications. The old EFX ANH was approvable with about 15 minutes of work. 1 Quote
ggriffaw Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 What would be the point of using this helmet with OT armor? It may be cheaper to get this and modify it, but if you are dedicated enough to get an OT suit, I would recommend a matching OT helmet. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk 1 Quote

I would imagine no details that are only on the R1 helmets would be allowed on a ANH/ESB/ROTJ costume. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk Quote
