TK3645 Posted August 21, 2016 Report Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) Hi everyone, Anovos have failed to replace the helmet so I'm now trying to make the best of the situation and clean up the helmet's flaws.... To start I've decided to start with the frown... There are some glue marks around the frown. I've tried using rubbing alcohol and watered down acetone - both tried/tested on rear of frown before applying on glue marks but they've failed to remove the marks! Anyone else have some ideas? Ilnino Posted August 21, 2016 Report Posted August 21, 2016 You could try Pvc/ plastic cleaner. Stuff that's used to clean plastic fascia and soffits. Nail varnish remover. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk Quote

Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk I've tried a water down acetone solution which is similar to nail varnish remover without being as harsh on the plastic but that failed. I got the Novus polishing kit but that won't work as it's for scratches and scuffs really. Goo Gone maybe? I've seen this but as the glue marks are dried I imagine this will fail to work. Without knowing what glue was used in the production doesn't help but it looks like some epoxy type! Quote
pandatrooper[TK] Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 With solvents, you risk damaging that area as it's a textured surface. I'd suggest painting over the entire black area to disguise it. 2 Quote
