trooperduper Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 (edited) Hey all, I'm new at this and hoping I could get some experts' opinions. I just received my AP armour and painted the bucket frown today. I'm not sure if I should repaint it though, I think I may have masked too high and some of my teeth look too short, especially on the left side of the frown. What do you guys think.. leave it as is or repaint to make my bucket longer in the tooth? Thanks! Edited August 8, 2016 by trooper-duper Quote
T K[501st] Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 It looks fine to me. Maybe post photos from other angles to get better input? Cheers! Quote
zv288bot[TK] Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 Yeah, nice and smooth and shiney! What paint did you use? Quote
trooperduper Posted August 8, 2016 Author Report Posted August 8, 2016 I used Testors 1138 Gray, it looks to be a pretty good match for the decals that came with the kit. Quote

T K[501st] Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 (edited) Oui. You should be fine. And a very good paint job as well, nice and clean. Edited August 8, 2016 by T K Quote
T K[501st] Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 Oh, I'd suggest you read through this. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/48-posting-images-in-threads-2015/ It will be a lot easier to upload photos this way. Quote
ABS80 Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 Looks very good, actually the original were hand painted without using masking tape so the unevenness you see on yours is perfect, too straight looking will look odd and not match the painted on decals. Mark (AP) Quote
ABS80 Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 BTW use bowl of water and add 1/2 a drop dishwashing soap to apply your decals and avoid airbubbles, just wet surface apply decals then rub decal to remove all water and dry with paper towel. Quote
trooperduper Posted August 8, 2016 Author Report Posted August 8, 2016 Thanks everyone for your opinions on this! I will leave it as is and move on to the ear painting. And thanks Mark for the decal advice, I will definitely use that technique. Quote
