Hey all! I'll be using this thread to keep track of my events as a Death Trooper in the 501st New England Garrison. Feel free to follow along.

That is awesome! Is there a facebook page or something for Death troopers? I imagine the name could be awesome if you made a group out of it...or is there a detachment?

This is the Facebook page for The Trooping Dead. It mainly showcases the Death Troopers of the New England Garrison and our events, but Death Troopers from other garrisons are also welcomed on the page.

#3: Star Wars Night on Hadlock Field - Portland, ME  8/6/16

My third troop as a Death Trooper brought me to the ballpark in Portland for Star Wars Night. The heat was intense, my velcro popped off a few times, but it was worth it to see smiles on every kid and adult who passed by us. What was most surprising to me, was that not a *single* young child was upset by my gruesome-looking trooper. At once point, 6 or 7 preschool aged kids swarmed me with a group hug.

As soon as I can find footage of myself and Obi-Wan hauling Slugger off the field, I'll post it up. For now, here's a group picture taken from the Portland Sea Dogs' Twitter page. I'll update the post as I find more pictures.

#4: Great Falls Balloon Festival - Lewiston, ME  8/19/16

My fourth troop brought me to Lewiston for the yearly balloon festival. We got to witness the arrival of Belgium's Yoda hot air balloon, as well as the launch of the Vader! We heard that the folks behind the making of the balloons are Belgian 501st members, who happened to be there. They were pretty busy so we didn't really get to chat.

The summer heat was unforgiving, but fortunately we had a tent in which we could cool down and re-hydrate. Everywhere we went, fans followed. We couldn't take more than a couple steps in any direction without a photo request or a high five from a young fan. This was a fun troop and I plan to go next year for sure!

#5: Movie at the Ballpark - Canton, ME  8/27/16

I teamed up with Wampa Clan to entertain attendees at the outdoor screening of TFA at the ballpark in Canton. I would have worn a different costume if I had one, but the kids were pretty into this! We spent most of our time passing the frisbee, playing kickball, and lightsaber dueling until the movie started. Fun, small-town troop which I hope to see again next year.

#6: Woburn Halloween Parade - Woburn, MA  10/30/16

What an event this was. We had over 80 costumers and handlers signed up for this 2.2 mile parade through downtown Woburn. There was a strong presence of white armor, which was well-received by the crowd. Speaking of the crowd, it was mostly families and young kids who were prettyyyy excited, but respectfully kept their distance most of the time. There was one incident that was handled well by our excellent wranglers, but that didn't stop us!

Myself and Joe were the Death Troopers in the back. I'm gonna gloat a little and say we probably got the best reactions from the crowd.  ;)

It was a pleasure trooping with you! It's always a fun parade. Love the looks on those kids faces. Trust me guys, those two had the zombie shamble down. The crowd loved them. Great pictures!

I've retired my TK Death Trooper (for now). I have since become fortunate enough to find a good deal on a complete set of RS Propmasters ANH armor. I made a few small adjustments and promptly earned approval from my garrison. I'll be adding to my kill count with this costume for a while!

7. Barbara Bush Childrens' Hospital Visit - Portland, ME  11/17/23

My first troop in the clean white armor brought me to the Barbara Bush Childrens' Hospital in Portland, ME. We were only in costume for about 45 minutes but it was a really positive experience. I hope to get more opportunities to do these kinds of troops again in the near future :salute:

Very nice, a couple of tweaks and you'd be all set to apply for Expert Infantry hint, hint :P
