Bernatowicz Posted July 30, 2016 Report Posted July 30, 2016 I was thinking of buying a not-screen-accurate eFX storm trooper helmet but I decided to have a look on here and ask around, if anyone has armour for sale that they would be willing to sell to me for $300 (£200) then please reply. It can be pre-assembled or in kit-form (I'd prefer to make it myself). Thanks (We can negotiate prices) Quote
sylverbard[TK] Posted July 31, 2016 Report Posted July 31, 2016 Im not sure 300.00 will get you anything unless someone been sitting on an anovos preorder...who hasn't already unloaded it for double that. Most kits are in the 500-800 range. Good luck! Quote
Imperial J[TK] Posted July 31, 2016 Report Posted July 31, 2016 Even anovos pre orders cost more than that.....good luck finding anything anywhere near that price Imperial J TK-80128 Quote

sylverbard[TK] Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 I upped my budget to $500, anyone know anything?Ata was slightly over 550 USD shipped to me in Canada. Long wait. Where are you? Quote
humperdingle Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 Should I join it? It's the UK-specific site, so you might have better luck. Quote
sylverbard[TK] Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Should I join it?If you want a 501st approved costume, yes. If you just want an awesome costume for Samhain, no. Quote
Bernatowicz Posted August 3, 2016 Author Report Posted August 3, 2016 Is SDS kit good? I know about the whole 'court case' but it is quite popular in the 501st UK garrison with only very minor adjustments. Quote

Look here... A thread I created for this very question http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/36274-sds-shepperton-design-studios-snagging-list-ukg-501st/?hl=snagging Quote

IMO avoid it. Take a look at Marks link, it's a ton of extra work that you won't need to do with one of the approved vendors. The price isn't even that good either, the battle spec would cost more than the AP kit that I got. You have two great armorers in the UK to choose from as well RS and TM. They might cost a bit more than the SDS but they are far superior. Quote
Bernatowicz Posted August 4, 2016 Author Report Posted August 4, 2016 Eeh, you are right. I'll probably try to get a screen-accurate pre-trimmed kit, Anovos seems okay but the shipping prices kill it for me: I'll wait around on different sites and if I find anything for sale, I'll ask you guys for your opinion. Thanks Quote
