Something that is standing out to me is the strips on the limbs is a lifted plastic and not just a thin strip

instead of just one thin strip

Sides of the forearms are also somewhat indendted quite stringently

on the last pic you can see cloth gaskets on the elbow

obvious backpack differences and disconnected kidney/posterior and differently placed belt and back of belt material, also diagonal connection from abs to kidney

bicep isnt even connected

back of shins don't seem connected

back is different design, looks like separate greeblies

middle part of back looks like FOTK piece?

shoulder straps are larger indents

also differences in the TD

Honestly I'm just a bit dissapointed with this design for the movie. It looks sloppy even to an untrained eye, and looks like they tried to be different but in the end seems more like they threw a bunch of plastic pieces together, even if there are some slight similarities between it and clone armor. Interested to see how people will adapt the build though, if any.

The movie is supposed to take place a few days or weeks before Episode IV? Wouldn't you want to use the same TK's designs as in Episode IV?

The reference material is there?

Different units often have different uniforms. Remember that we really only see Sandy's and death Star stormtroopers in anh and Vader's detachment as a boarding party. We don't ever see a landlocked base, or mixing of stormtroopers.

The difference I see; No more vac-forming and undercuts from hell.

The cost for making Star Wars in 1976 was limited as opposed to the current films.

Not true factoring in all the thousands of hours of model work. They went clunky and campy thinking " this will never need a sequel or have thousands of nerds dissecting it."

Another thing is that they seem to have changed the back of the bucket lip, and it looks more symmetrical now as opposed to being slightly oblonged on one side

Looks like Vader's personal troops got the cheap military surplus cast offs
