Troopacoola[TK] Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Hello! I am in the middle of my first build and was wondering how to fit my lenses. I have two individual lenses and can't figure out how others fit them to their lid. Advice would be much appreciated Quote
TK4205 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 You might find other old threads if you look for them. People use different methods. Here is a recent thread http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38058-anyone-know-a-good-way-to-install-a-lens/ 1 Quote

Troopacoola[TK] Posted October 1, 2016 Author Report Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) I used Chicago screws glued inside works great TK-10596 Cheers mate, Looks great. I like the plasdip. Did something similar myself ... TK build on hold for the time being as I need to get my e-11 build done in order to get cleared by my Garrison. It's taking longer than my armour build. But, if you're gonna build one, best do it right, right? Marc Edited October 1, 2016 by CTID 1 Quote
RLH2515[TK] Posted October 2, 2016 Report Posted October 2, 2016 Oh yeah. I did ESB guy in our area built me one for around 180$ looks great though. I had the plasti dip laying around so why not right ! Plus I just glued the back of the screws to a piece of abs and it all worked out well I think. TK-10596 1 Quote
Slayer6769[501st] Posted October 3, 2016 Report Posted October 3, 2016 I have pondered this same question. I've seen a few different ways of securing the lenses inside, but I came up with a different idea. I am going to use foil tape, the kind HVAC techs use on duct work. It's very sticky and can be molded to fit very well. Plus, I figured if I needed to remove the lenses for whatever reason, all I need to do if peel it off. Quote
RLH2515[TK] Posted October 3, 2016 Report Posted October 3, 2016 No idea is a bad idea as long as it works imo. TK-10596 1 Quote
