TheDon[501st] Posted July 30, 2016 Report Posted July 30, 2016 Where do I ship my money for a ST helmet. Lol. Awesome work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
JayBox325 Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 Jim, how are you making the hip armour that hangs below the belt? From looking at a few images it looks like it could be a foam/thick leather with plastic panels on it. See here: http://imgur.com/a/NYEmk Would be interesting to hear the opinion of an actual armourer. Quote
Vader’s Wingman[501st] Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 I'll be watching this thread closely. I'm already piecing my ST together Quote

heartstopper85[TK] Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Wow amazing work, like everyone else just take my money Shoretroopers look amazing. Now if I can only figure out why I've seen some with Red and some with grey blueish on right arm Quote
Dday[501st] Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) We're just about finished with the clay master of the Dtrooper helmet. We're going to be casting it it resin for final mastering before making the final mold. Shore trooper helmet is currently being molded (waste mold). It will also be cast in resin for final mastering. Armor is still in the very rough stages: Jim! This is your helmet (good to connect the different sites), I've been watching it on FB and never connected you to it. Well done, looking forward to seeing it come to life. I think you have the best hand sculpted version going. Edited August 3, 2016 by Dday 2 Quote
MotioN Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Ouuuuu, looking good - cant wait for more shore trooper updates Quote
jimmiroquai[TK] Posted August 5, 2016 Author Report Posted August 5, 2016 Thanks guys! Some more updates: Some updates: Still cleaning up the resin master. Will need to re-sculpt some minor details mainly because they were a &*&$%@ to clean up and it would be easier to sand stuff off, cut stuff out, and remodel. Tweaking the chest: And got my soft parts from my tailor. Need to redo the ribbed shirt to lengthen the neck seal, and add a bib of black ribbed material. Also need to redo the torso as the ribs should be horizontal in that area. Will also double the mesh layer and place a panel of it at the armpits. Breeches are nice. My tailor has a lot of experience sewing WW2 stuff for the WW2 airsoft/reenactment group i'm part of so he got these on the first try. Dtrooper helmet ready for waste molding 3 Quote
MotioN Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Love it! Question about the back armour, are you going to be doing the inset details asymmetrically like the shore troopers at the star wars celebration? Interested in a kit if you end up makimg them :-)

<img src="http://woondu.com/images/celebrity/star-wars-rogue-one-shore/shore-trooper12.jpg"alt="shore-trooper12.jpg"> Edited August 5, 2016 by MotioN Quote

Imrageth[501st] Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Jim, are you going to make other parts like the bicep, shins, etc as well? Quote
jimmiroquai[TK] Posted August 6, 2016 Author Report Posted August 6, 2016 Jim, are you going to make other parts like the bicep, shins, etc as well? Yep, the plan is to offer a complete set. Including the buckles etc. Even the TK parts are new sculpts and different from existing ones. 2 Quote
