Despite most out there, I have a mysterious fondness over the wonky and squashed look of ROTJ armor...

After a long struggle... I made up my mind and looked for Mark for a ROTJ kit. :dancing-trooper:

First of all, I have to thank Sskunky (CFO Mark) a lot for his patience with all my questions and his craftsmanship for putting the helmet together.

Yeah... I had tons of doubts when making the order and changed my mind billions of time before settling everything with him. I have ordered the armor kit and blaster kit with a completed bucket ( its just too damn scary to do it myself and I don't wanna screw up a nice bucket lol)

A pair of painted white chelsea at the ready.

Mark is currently waiting on the blaster kit to arrive next week then the BBB will be shipped over the other side of the galaxy! This is officially my second build ( first being a Shadow Stormtrooper over at SpecOps ) When the BBB arrived, I ll be sure to post my progress here along with tons of questions :duim:

(PS. I will be using an ultrasonic cutter in this build, which is also a first so please stay with me lol )

Everything laid out! Most parts dont require too much trimming also thanks to Mark!

Done quite a lot today as well!! Im going for a speedy and accurate build so hopefully I can get it done within this week!! Many thanks again to Mark from CFO who has been staying with me and giving advice all the time!! And also thanks to build threads like Disco's and K@nne's who gave me a large amount of prep work to do before building!

Since Im a thin trooper, the ROTJ fits me quite well without too much adjustment :D42e2240e475539051bbe4fd2fbd6cccb.jpg

But the Shoulder straps are giving me headache since the its ribbed in shape the Velcros are having difficulties fixing to the back (even after I gave them a hot bath and bended!) Any advice out there?

My girlfriend is having fun with the bucket as well :P (yep thats a SpecOps tee!)

Thought so too!! But when I fully wore it, it seems like the belt front is hanging too high ... or maybe the chest plate too low? The abs buttons are almost covered up :( Any suggestions about this?

It looks like you are too short for the armour to cause the chest to overlap the abdomen like that. You can pull the chest up and even trim out the neck curve a bit more to pull the chest even higher. I Have done this for short people many times and it makes a big difference to the overall look of the armour. You will have to replace the trim on the neck and reposition the shoulder straps, but it's worth the effort.

You have done with same thing with the thigh ammo strap as Markus did in his thread. The straps should be attached like this: (copied from his thread)

6500996425_6f1f91fecc_b.jpg

Not like this:

------------

Also, I see most of the arm and leg armour look very loose on you. If you have enough room, you can totally remove one side of the joining edge to make them narrower. I would trim off the back strip on the inner half of each part if you have enough room. This is just a suggestion but let me know if you need more detailed info.

The back knee joints could be trimmed a bit neater too. Cut them in a long diagonal line and they will look and feel much better. The thigh tops at the back could be trimmed to make them look neater. Check out these guys again for a bit of visual reference on how the movie suits were trimmed (and some of these were trimmed down).

Thank you so much for your detailed advice !!! I will definitely cut off more to make the arms fit better! For the thighs, I have added paddings to fit in, it feels ok but dunno will it affect approval or anything..

And the edges of the thighs are currently untouched just yet.. Surely will trim them cleaner!

About the shoulder bells they are floating around so I added elastics to the chest to prevent them from moving around... but looking from the back its kinda weird.. (looks like they are pulled too much to the front) Any suggestions on how to fix them?
