Sly11[Admin] Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Hey Nam Can you please remove the white paint from the cod rivet and butt plate snaps. Take a new photo and post up when done. Thank you Andrew Quote
Bushido Posted June 27, 2016 Author Report Posted June 27, 2016 (edited) I think this should be mentioned somewhere in the requirements. Doesn't say on the CRL or anywhere here on the EIB requirements list. Edited June 27, 2016 by Bushido Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 The CRL is in the process of being edited. Until then we have to verbally mentioned it. Also, here's a photo of screen used armor just in case you were curious, there's no paint on the rivet or snaps. Thank you 1 Quote

ukswrath[Staff] Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Hey Nam, thanks for your application and welcome to your EI review. Another fellow GGG member, love it!. Let's get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for level 2. Welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations if any, made by your fellow troopers, Sly or myself. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. None of these suggestions will effect your EI qualification today. 1) Ab to kidney gap, right side is a bit excessive. It's not too much of a issue here at EI but you'll need to reduce this gap for Centurion. This could be as simple as a picture retake. The CRL states: For level two certification (if applicable): Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide. For level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Your left side isn't too bad. Reference pictures. Right side Left side Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. 1) Kidney to ab gap mentioned above. 2) Drop box alignment. Drop boxes are to aligned with the ends. To fix this may be as simple as gluing the drop box elastic to the waist belt itself which should position the boxes in the correct location. The CRL states: For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. Reference picture. I like to use because even though Han is bent over in the scene the drop box alignment is still in check. 3) It appears the left side rivets are too far from the armor edge, they should be approximately 10mm. You can either move the rivets over, filling in the holes or remove more side return edge, but that may increase the ab to kidney issue you're already having. How you choose to do this is up to you. The CRL states: For level three certification (if applicable): Rivets are equally spaced along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. Reference picture. Beautiful job on your build BTW. Great to have another GGG brother in the EIB ranks. 1 Quote
