humperdingle Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 Hey folks, not sure if this has been put forward before but I tried this on a troop yesterday. it involves using adhesive hook velcro (the hard part, not the fuzzy part) and some kitchen scouring pads. I'd experimented with this, but had never trooped with it in-situ, but it held in place securely and worked perfectly. Moreover, the pads are literally pennies, so can be replaced cheaply. Just rip them out and put in new ones. I suppose they're washable, too so, you just stick the hook velcro wherever you need padding, press-on the scourer and it's done! Quote
bluehickey Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 I'll be interested to know if they keep their form while trooping. I have just regular foam padding in my helmet. As I troop and get hotter the padding compresses and my helmet shifts down on my face a bit which is annoying. Quote
