akrembug Posted June 20, 2016 Author Report Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) Just noticed in my original post I forgot to add a picture of the black screws on the thermal detonator. I have now added that photo to the original post. Edited June 20, 2016 by akrembug Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted June 21, 2016 Report Posted June 21, 2016 Hi Remy, and welcome to your EI review, lets take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted however there is something that will require modification before we can award you the EI badge. As per the wording in the CRL in reference to your side shims. For level two certification (if applicable): Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide. Any shims used to achieve this effect are of a similar material and color as the abdomen and kidney armor. Shims fit flush and seams are allowed. We are referencing the fact that your side shims are not a flush fit but sit behind the Kidney and abdomen plate. Generally a backing piece is used, then you glue the shim on top of that and align it with the edge of the kidney plate. Know the multiple seams are fine for EIB but only a single seam is allowed at Centurion. Here is an example of kidney shims from other EI applications for your reference. Ignore the rivets as they are not required for EI approval. If you can please attend to the above and resubmit a few new photos, we will continue with your review. You got this Remy, your so close. Ahh, that is what that means. There was some confusion on my part. I thought it meant flush with the top and bottom of the kidney and abb plates. Well I won't be around my armor again until mid September. :-( Once I am back I'll make the modifications and get back with you. And was hoping to have EIB spot #600 too. Would have too if it wasn't for those shims. Ugh! Ha-ha. Edited June 24, 2016 by akrembug Quote
