Fem Kat Rebel TK Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 Yes I will be sealing the armour from inside the casts of the cslves/shins. The outside will be fully enclosed on the inside will have an attached strip inside that will have velcro on sealing it to make a flush joint Quote
Fem Kat Rebel TK Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 The joint would need sanding down as smooth as possible to get a nice smooth finish when filled on the outside. .it wouldn't be as noticeable from the inside. This is very much like a half tk half clone type of build. Quote
Fem Kat Rebel TK Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 Well I hope my build helps you. I plan to do this to the best I can ☺ Quote

Fem Kat Rebel TK Posted July 5, 2016 Author Report Posted July 5, 2016 and I think TZA uses HIPS plastic, as this doesn't look to be resin. If that's the case, I'd recommend using sludge for the filler in lieu of Bondo. The Bondo will eventually crack and require much more maintenance to keep it looking right! Thank you Eric Quote
Fem Kat Rebel TK Posted July 5, 2016 Author Report Posted July 5, 2016 Started trimming the breast plate, ab plate and bottom half. i find the hips material much more easier than the abs, especially for sanding to a nice smooth rounded finish. Also I trimmed the back plates as well. 2 Quote
eqdizzle[TK] Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 Great work! I agree with you on HIPS being a bit easier to work with. If I can give you any advice...reinforce it...! You WILL have cracking as you wear it. Fiberglass mesh tape with epoxy at the edges, especially at the big lines. I'd bug Darth Aloha about getting a CRL discussion started as well! I'll be joining you in Animated TK building soon!!! 3 Quote
I'm Batman[501st] Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 I'd bug Darth Aloha about getting a CRL discussion started as well! I'll be joining you in Animated TK building soon!!! That's what I've just been trying to research - Rebels is canon, isn't it? So with this and the other 10 kits already sold, with more probably coming we'll need a CRL soon. Quote
sylverbard[TK] Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 A crl isn't based on someone selling kits. There's two ways to get a crl. First In Legion:. Make a kick an impolite person screen real accurate costume, write the proposed Cel, submit all the needed reference pictures ( think centurion application pictures ) and submit to the LMO. Or, wait for enough full body high def imagery to appear, write a basic outline, and get a fire lit under our butts :-) Quote
eqdizzle[TK] Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 You're correct...the Rebels TK is every bit as canon as the ANH Stunt, but we'll need good 360* reference shots, and full CRL text with individual part pictures. I've helped create the CRLs for Commander Appo, the 501st grunt for CTN and the Death Watch Airborne for the BHG (new to Legion). Please let me know how I can help bring this one to life as well..! 2 Quote
