Auel
Hey guys, just ordered my first FOTK kit and can't wait for it to arrive. Here's my question about sizing, should I order the gaskets first and measure the armor to it or I can just measure the armor according to my skin. Hope you vets are able to advise! Dark PWF[Staff]
Unless something has changed, the gaskets and armor are one size fits all, and the plastic can be trimmed down a bit to size if necessary.

Oh, I thought I would have to trim the armor down according to my size. I was afraid I will have to leave allowance for the gaskets to fit, so all kits are just assembly and no resizing involved? Auel
What do you guys reccomend painting a ABS kit with for a beginner? I know the top and bottom halves of the body overlaps and the bottom piece is sure to have scuff marks. Is there a way to remedy it? Or it will not scrape against each other? Auel
Hey guys need some help here. I definitely triple checked the helmet for any defects and just realised that my bucket has this indent on the front. Can this be fixed? As the store I purchase it from does not accept returns or exchanges.
tkrestonva[TK]
I'm wondering about the gaskets myself. Since they are supposed to be latex (and stretchy as a result), one size fits all makes more sense. But I would hope that there is still the ability to do some tailoring, as the arm and leg sizes of different people vary. I took my kit to an automotive paint shop. But whether or not these publicly-available FO TK kits will require painting is still IMO an open question. Anovos claims that they are simplified (in terms of building) based on the lessons learned from the Marketing kits that went exclusively to 501st members. As far as the helmet defect goes, I'm not sure there is much you can do to correct it. Using a heat gun on it carries far more risk of just making the problem worse.
