Need Advice on Helmet Kit Eyes

This is my first stormtrooper helmet build. I purchased the kit from ATA Works. Started carving out the eyes but wasn't sure exactly where to stop cutting. I'm attaching photos of where I'm at and if anyone can help or point me to a reference that would be awesome.

I'm thinking I should follow along the curve on the inside upper part. Is this correct?

You can definitely cut more out from inside your eyes.  Here is a pic of of how far I took my ATA helmet eyes.

Thanks! I did cut out more of the eyes. I'm just scared to death of cutting in the wrong places. Just going to take my time and hopefully get it right.

Carl you're off to a good start.  I think you can cut more out of the corners atleast.  I can't see the right eye too well from the picture but the left eye can certainly be cut out some more.

I carved out the eyes and started on the teeth. As I go I'm getting more comfortable now. Still need to smooth out the edges and trim a little bit here and there. I'll keep posting my progress and thanks for the advice.

You can just make out the ridge left around the eyes, I would file out a little more in the corners

I'll sand the rest of the edges but coming together nicely. Now on to the cap.

Thanks! I was worried I messed up my ears because of a gap. I might be all right actually. Still working on it.

I know it's been awhile. I got caught up over the ears and really struggled. Ended up getting with my brother-in-law almost a year later to help me cut out the extra pair. So glad they ATA Works sent an extra pair. So almost complete now, just need to paint over my screw holes and fix the inside a bit.

Looks good, Carl!  Nice work!

The only thing that you might want to fix is the paint on the frown.  Typically on the ANH helmet, you will see paint on the teeth, but not around the frown itself.  I've attached some pics showing examples of screen-used lids for reference.  It's a pretty easy fix if you are looking to go for further screen-accuracy.
