Ah so this is a new change. I thought something was different with this diagram. So does this mean the 22x22 doesn't apply anymore? and instead it's whatever it takes for the notch to line up with the front of the butt plate?

That's right mate!

I think it looks cleaner to be able to extend the notch to be flush with the butt plate. I'll be doing this on my sandtrooper since I use shims.

I agree, I didn't like the look of the mod I did to extend it the first time - which reminds me I have to update that thread Notch thread with the new info as well, so that it's not replicated by anyone.

Cheers Jason!!!

Sorry. A bit off topic but just had this conversation with the Mrs.....

Joanne....."I've moved your books and put them beside mine. The only thing that's doing my head in, is that they're now mixed up" me " what do you mean?" "Well, I need to sort it, you have yours next to my Karin Slaughter books." Me "ok" joanne "well, I've now got fiction mixed up with non fiction." For the record, my books are:

The Star Wars vault

Star Wars costumes the OGW

The ultimate Star Wars guide

Star Wars archives

Non fiction?.....I have taught you well baby.......unless you view Slaughter as non fiction. In that case I'm screwed!

Alright mates - time for an update!

Firstly, Tony brought up valid information on the kidney notch that I posted earlier so I wanted to ensure everyone is aware:

However, as stated in another thread, if you were in the assembly process during the decision process we will not hold this against you, which ever way you made your notch. :duim:

So if you built your notches in the non- approvable "C" Image during this time it will be allowed through.

Here's that diagram again:

Progress report on the armor

After last weekends troop, I found that my left rivet side gap had opened up so I have tightened things up using 2" black elastic and E-6000.

Things are looking good now

Definitely going to need some paint touch ups but that will come after this weekend's troop - then no more troops till I get approval for Centurion.

Work to recreate return edges is still ongoing. I have finally built up enough paste to file it into shape (at least on one side)

Right then, quick update on the finalization of the kidney plate before my next troop.

Just about have enough paste on both sides to do finishing touches.

I have also ordered new s-trim to clean up the bottom side of my bucket. I should also be seeing my audio lines for my TKVoice App, Aker, and bucket fans in the next month.

Thanks my friend! (fist bump)

I should be able to finish the other notch tonight, and get the pieces posted up for final inspection by you all to ensure I didn't miss anything.

Cheers mate!!!

Are you planning on installing the aker in your chest plate or hanging it from your belt? Just curious...

I'm actually going to try mounting it inside of my back plate

May make others who are in front of you harder to hear you... And those in back, easier to hear you... Personally, I haven't mounted it anyplace, just let it hand around my neck under the neckseal, and under chest plate... It's low so that its just between chest and ab. Just some thoughts for you my friend.

Is that to avoid feedback or just because there is more of a cavity in there?
