ukswrath[Staff] Posted June 5, 2016 Report Posted June 5, 2016 I would suggest adding more until the joint disappears 1 Quote
Yiyo[501st] Posted June 5, 2016 Author Report Posted June 5, 2016 Thanks! Will post again tomorrow as I just added another "coat"! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Yiyo[501st] Posted June 5, 2016 Author Report Posted June 5, 2016 (edited) Added another couple of coats and no success, most of the area around it has also been sanded.... Will try and get someone from the local garrison to come around------------- Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited January 6, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed Quote
kman[TK] Posted June 5, 2016 Report Posted June 5, 2016 How thick are the coats you are adding? (both consistency of ABS paste and how much you are applying) How long are you giving the paste to dry before sanding? 1 Quote

I believe I have been applyung way too little and not giving lt enough time. I applied a thicker line last night and will attempt sanding after work ----------- Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited January 6, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed 1 Quote
kman[TK] Posted June 6, 2016 Report Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) I think you need to apply still more. Ladle it on liberally. You need to create a new flat surface from it, so it needs to cover a distance on either side of the seam. Don't worry about the tape (since you'll be sanding it off anyway, and you don't want a sharp line), and just lay down like a 1/2"-3/4" stripe along the seam. Edited June 6, 2016 by kman 1 Quote

Will do my best tonight and see the results! Fingers are hurting from so much sanding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
