T K[501st] Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Looks great! Here is one thing I would address.. You also could raise your thighs a bit, that might solve the issue above. Good luck! 1 Quote

Worst case I need to shave a bit of the top rear of the thigh. Daaaaaang! That is some GOOD looking armor trooper! Bucket off to you!Thank you. I've put a lot of work into the build and the research before so good to know it's showing! 1 Quote
wingnut65[Staff] Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Removing the return edge at the top of the thighs will help them to slide up more. Also try adding foam padding to the front of the shin and back of the thigh to force them apart. Good Luck, Chris! Quote

I picked up some foam and I do plan on troop, analyse, adjust! Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Hey Chris, Sly or myself will be with you shortly. Regarding the thigh, I think if you just rotated them inward so that the cover strip is facing forward this would resolve some of the issue. Btw this won't hold you back from EIB. 1 Quote

Regarding the thigh, I think if you just rotated them inward so that the cover strip is facing forward this would resolve some of the issue. Btw this won't hold you back from EIB. Thats my first plan of attack. I think my straps are a shade too long so they moved during the photos. The first set I took, with the holster on the table...., they were lined up fine. Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted May 6, 2016 Author Report Posted May 6, 2016 I've now shortened the thigh strapping which brings them up about an inch and keeps them in the correct orientation. Foam pads for the knee issue has been cut and works, just needs securing. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted May 7, 2016 Report Posted May 7, 2016 Hi Chris, thank you for your application. Ukswrath started to write this application just before he went leave for a few days, so without further delay, lets look at your armour!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required photos are present. Your armor meets all the requirements needed for EIB. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Great job on your build trooper. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we make suggestions made by either your peers or Sly and myself to enhance the overall look of your armor. These suggestions will not effect your EIB status. Though very minor, we do have a couple areas we would suggest you update. One would be the shoulder bell to shoulder and chest gap. We like to see that as minimal as possible. Shortening the connecting strap would really help in this area. Reference picture The other is a Centurion suggestion, see below. We see in your application thread that you have taken some suggestions from fellow troopers with regards to the your thigh armour. We would like to see the updated photos of those corrections in your future Centurion application Centurion Suggestions: In this area we make suggestions to prepare you for your Centurion badge. We get a bit more picky here. The following suggestion is up to you. It is not a requirement but more a accuracy suggestion. Hovi screens. The Anovos screen mesh is very fine and not very accurate. We've been suggesting to Anovos owners to replace the screen. They should be a bit heavier in construction. Reference picture Please show the new photos of thigh rotation and thigh lift and that's all we could find. Excellent work on a well deserved Expert Infantry badge, and see you in the Centurion application thread soon. 1 Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted May 7, 2016 Author Report Posted May 7, 2016 Thanks guys. I'll be submitting for Centurion once I finish the adjustments and my new hand plates arrive. Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted May 7, 2016 Author Report Posted May 7, 2016 Side note: Is there a decent resolution version of EIB and centurion logos anywhere? I don't need massive for a banner or anything just better than 30 pixels! Quote
TKModder421[TK] Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 I know this is an old post but I just wanted to say your armor looks amazing!! So clean and so much attention to detail! 1 Quote
