steamboatphan Posted May 25, 2016 Author Report Posted May 25, 2016 When u attach those 2 boxes there should be no seams according to the CRL Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using Tapatalk Quote
HansDC[TK] Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Thanks. So no seams or no gaps? I am assuming you mean you need to bondo where you have glued the boxes in right? ...and not 'no gaps' between the boxes. 2 Quote

HansDC[TK] Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) Thanks!Kit arrived last week and have prepped the inside with sanding and some bondo in the gaps. Given it a wash and the first coat of primer to see what other bits I have to fill. Winter kicked in hard this morning in Melbourne and its cold & wet outside. Looks like its gonna be like that for the next week. Planning on working out my strapping and joining all the bits while I'm stuck inside. Waiting on my last item to arrive which are the gaskets. Been following your build from the start and its very impressive and also very helpful. So thank you! Edited May 26, 2016 by HansDC 2 Quote

A lot of flex cracks and places were the paint wore off from rubbing Did you sand everything down first? or are you just laying gloss right on top? Priming? I just wanna know, cuz after 1 troop with this armor, i already have a few scuffs. Quote
Cowboy Kylo[501st] Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 Yeah I'm sanding with 400 grit just to take the shine off then painting it. 1 Quote
steamboatphan Posted May 30, 2016 Author Report Posted May 30, 2016 I didn't really like the way the knee plates were sticking out on the sides so i rigged this up with some thin bungee cord and christmas light hooks 2 Quote
steamboatphan Posted May 30, 2016 Author Report Posted May 30, 2016 The lighting was terrible in the previous pics i posted. So, here's a shot of me wearing the armor for the first time on a troop! 2 Quote
