allan1313[TK] Posted April 13, 2016 Report Posted April 13, 2016 I have search and found some old threads about this but thought I might bring it up again and see if there are any new ideas. I usually wear glasses, I don't have terrible eye sight and my prescription is pretty mild. But seeing as how it is hard enough to see and maneuver while suited up I am looking for a way to see better. I have an old pair of glasses where the frames broke, so I was trying to come up with a way to mount just the lenses into the bucket. My first thoughts are just to use double sided tape or glue and stick it right on the back of the green lenses. My only worry is that the adhesive might distort the lenses if its not optically clear. Any thoughts? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Quote
DarkTrooper[TK] Posted April 13, 2016 Report Posted April 13, 2016 Using those old/broken glass frames is a good idea. Possibly hot glue them in place in back of the helmet lens material. There's not really a need to create a whole new thread for this topic. You could have bumped up the several older threads. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29798-wearing-glasses-while-in-a-bucket-the-real-reason-why-tks-cant-aim/?hl=%2Bwearing+%2Bglasses http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27948-eye-glasses-in-tk-helmet/?hl=%2Bwearing+%2Bglasses#entry353692 http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19214-buckets-glasses/?hl=%2Bwearing+%2Bglasses http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/17511-prescription-lenses-for-helmet/?hl=%2Bwearing+%2Bglasses#entry213031 http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/7880-glasses-eyewear-and-helmet-sizes/?hl=%2Bwearing+%2Bglasses Quote
allan1313[TK] Posted April 24, 2016 Author Report Posted April 24, 2016 Here is what I ended up doing. I used some scrap abs to create a holder for the lenses. I put some Velcro on the back so I can take it in and out of the bucket. I just used some E6000 to glue the lenses to the holder. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Quote
ComradeDave[TK] Posted May 2, 2016 Report Posted May 2, 2016 I can fit my bucket on without taking off my glasses. But this is a pretty cool idea! 2 Quote

ComradeDave[TK] Posted May 3, 2016 Report Posted May 3, 2016 The more stuff you put in there the more cramped it gets. Mine is pretty barren right now Sent from my SGH-I317M using Tapatalk Quote
