From previous test fit, i found out my butt plate flared out. So i will try hot water method to close the gap.

Happy Eid to you as well. Your armor is looking very nice. Now get going on that belt before your pants fall down!

You are welcome. Cannot afford to have wardrobe malfunction, right.

Belt:

Got my mother in law to tailor me a new belt. Install the holster using supplied Chicago screw.

First public appearance:

Wear the armor for my uni alumni homecoming dinner. Received complimentary gift for best dress. The homecoming King was awarded to Deadpool.

Had some difficulty. But it was worth it. Great taking pictures opportunities with old friends. It was all smile and laughter.

21/8/2016: 3rd official trooping.

Event name: CAFFA 2016.

Location: Publika Mall Kuala Lumpur (Indoor)

Post trooping notes:

1) I need to apply more hot water bath to the butt plate. Still not conform to my butt shape.

2) Adjust thigh armor. Currently felt like it is too big and reduce my mobility during walks.(Done)

3) Found crack on kidney and butt plate armor. To reinforce the area.

4) To reduce the length of the shin armor. Now it is rubbing with my boots.(Done)

5) To reduce the return edge on the abs plate.(Done)

6) I start to wear balaclavas during this troop. I can feel the advantage of having more air flow inside the bucket. (Info)

Belt:

Modified the belt construction.

Remove the old fabric Anovos completely. Carefully cut around the metal.

Glue velcro hook with E6000 to the belt.

Stitch the soft velcro part to the new cloth part.

Hovi Mic Accuracy update:

From CRL pictures, the hovi mic screen each mesh size approximately 2mm.

1a895ffa7f57bd3efaf6b50085a8d9e9.jpg

The internal diameter of the hovi mic tip is 16mm. I found marker pen body have 15mm++ outer diameter. Will use it to shape the mesh.

d6bd3f71d07b21bd057f6353bf0426d5.jpg

Found a small sieve that have suitable mesh. Take out from the frame.

7fee68c3bf23a5ea05fb0381a64a3cce.jpg

Flatten it out.

Hard to keep the molded mesh shape after trimming to size. Tried using E600 and got this big gunk at the end. Will look into other method.

Superglue or any type of CA Glue.

that way you don't get that "gunky" mess lol

Ok, now with superglue. Now waiting it to dry.

I remove the mesh after i am happy with the fit. Apply masking tape to outside of the hovi mic.

Spray paint the inside with gloss white paint. Wait paint to dry.

Remove masking tape.

Apply new masking tape. This time leave some gap on the tip.

8e6529eda159a233ed3fc061f78db1e8.jpg

Spray some white paint on flat surface.

Dip the hovi mic tip on the wet paint. You will get the fine thin white ring on the tip.

Remove masking tape after paint dried.
