allan1313[TK] Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Looking good man!!! Think you got this in the bag. Maybe 2 suggestions, looks like you need to clean up the eyes a little, they have some edges that can be filed or sanded. The other is the ammo pack on the thigh. In the front on picture its hanging a bit low (the close up later it looks good), maybe throw a little glue behind it so it won't sag. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Looking sharp, Trooper! I agree with Allan about the eyes... If you haven't permanently attached the lenses, a few minutes with a small file and some sandpaper could make them look even better, but I think you have this one nailed, Richard. After this, next stop Centurion! Quote
hupspring[TK] Posted April 3, 2016 Author Report Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Thanks guys! I have a new "to do" list and I added trimming more on the eyes to it. My first trim on the eyes didn't take off nearly enough since I was scared I'd mess up and take off too much, but I think I'm more comfortable with the armor now and can do a better job. I will also add a drop of glue to the thigh ammo pack to keep it in place. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Edited April 3, 2016 by hupspring Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Hey Richard, Sly or myself will be with you as soon as we can. Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Hello Richard, Thank you for your patience and EIB submission. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All photos are present and your armor represents all necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that we'd like to congratulate you on your new "Expert Infantry" Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we point out any areas we feel may need a little work to improve the overall look of your armor. 1) We suggest bring in the shoulder bells even closer to eliminate the bell to chest gap. Removing some of the bell lower return edge and maybe tightening the lower bell strap should remedy this issue. Reference image Centurion suggestions: In this section we try to prepare you for Centurion. Sly, myself or your fellow brothers may suggest areas needing improvement. In this section the only area we suggest you fix would be to replace the Hovi screen mesh, it should be heavier in construction. There are a few build threads illustrating how to replace this if you choose to do so. Reference image Great job Richard Quote
hupspring[TK] Posted April 8, 2016 Author Report Posted April 8, 2016 Thanks Tony! I'll get to work on those items soon and then submit for Centurion. Thanks for your Anovos build thread too, it was a great resource while I was building mine! Quote
