Let me first begin with the fact that is is a co-build with my wife.  I want to be sure she has a successful build and doesn't hurt herself along the way.

My wife has been wanting to get involved with my garrison after hearing my stories and seeing pictures of troops I have attended.  I was able to score an Anovos kit (uncut/untrimmed), soft parts, and a brand new pair of TK Boots for an unbelievable deal.  Like my build, I figured I would start a build thread showing my progress.

Right off the bat I can tell that the Anovos is a little thinner than my armor, and not as white.  However, all-in-all, I am real happy with the kit.

The first thing we started with was her biceps.

After the initial trim, I realized pretty quick that I would be taking a lot of plastic off.

After cut them to size, we made backing strips out of left over scrap ABS from my build.

Both of the biceps had got a hot water bath to close them together do to the tension.  The process went smooth.  I also had to trim and use my hobby iron to remove the excess ABS from the top/gap of both biceps because it bother my wife when they were on her arm and I think it looks better.

Cover strips sized and glued.  Now the wait...

Used CA glue for the backing strips, but E600 for the cover strips.

On to her right forearm.  I noticed the Anovos was very generous with the amount of plastic on them.  Like the biceps, I had to take a lot off.

Slow day today, but was able to finish the left forearm.  This one gave us a little problem with.  After sizing, I had to give it a hot water bath so I could close up the pieces without tension.  I unfortunately left it in a bit to long and  caused the armor to warp a bit.  I had to remold it a bit with a pint glass.  It surprising went well an was able to close the forearm.  I will post a picture of the finished product.

Trimmed and sanded...

thumb_IMG_4972_1024.jpg

Added pieces of scrap ABS to the void spaces, sanded even, to create a better glueing surface to the chest plate...

Doesn't look pretty, but you will never see it!!!
