tk427 Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 been searching ebay trying to find a 6 digit counter to match the size of a Hengstler.. has anyone found one with the right dimensions? Quote
T-Jay[TK] Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 Hi Mark and welcome to the FISD. As far as I know, there are only very few alternative counters that match the size of a Hengstler. Almost no chance on ebay. You can check the "For Sale or Trade - Personal Items" section, or contact Blue Snaggletooth. Maybe he can help. Real Hengstlers got expensive during the last 2 years, but a few members made some nice conversions or scratch build counters with number rolls from different counters (see here). Quote
kevin926 Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 You can buy a resin one from doopydoos for around 8 dollars if you want to go that route and I don't know where they are but I have seen a member make one based off plans. Quote
kevin926 Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) Duplicated some how, sorry Edited February 17, 2016 by kevin926 Quote
tk427 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Report Posted February 17, 2016 I have a resin copy.... Looking for something better Quote
SlyFox740[TK] Posted February 18, 2016 Report Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) The next best thing beside a real Hengstler would be Dennis' (A.K.A. Blue Snagletooth) Hengstler Counter Replica's; http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34954-fs-4-run-hengstler-400-counter-eagle-replicas/ I purchased one for my blaster build, they are super accurate and built to exact scale with correct dimensions, also the counter itself is functional. Definitely a step up from a resin cast! I chose to go this route for two reasons; 1. They look exactly like the real thing but they are lighter in weight which is something I take into consideration as I don't want a heavy blaster 2. They are hollow behind the counter socket unlike the real thing which leaves room for small electronic components. Edited February 18, 2016 by SlyFox740 1 Quote
charlesnarles Posted February 18, 2016 Report Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) Another option is a 6-digit digital counter. They're on Amazon for around $10. Kinda fun and different, but very accurately sized (probably on purpose) Edited February 18, 2016 by charlesnarles Quote
I'm Batman[501st] Posted February 18, 2016 Report Posted February 18, 2016 1. Doopy Resin 2. Doopy resin with clear class and paper numbers underneath 3. Doopy resin with clear class and paper numbers underneath and pushable button 4. Doopy resin with aftermarket 'real' counter reels and button from a Chinese ebay counter 5. Doopy resin with Bluesnaggletooth rear half counter 6. Full 'fake' counter from Bluesnaggletooth 7. Real Hengstler branded counter I would expect that that order would be the best in terms of accuracy AND price that you'd expect to pay. Quote

Locitus[Admin] Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 A non-eagle hengstler isn't that expensive. I think I paid €40 for mine, with shipping. Quote
charlesnarles Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 just searched for it ....................is it the gray one by amico?do u have a link? This one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009NC9M0U/ref=sr_ph_1?qid=1456086448&sr=sr-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=digital+counter Quote
charlesnarles Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 It's just the back end. Get a resin or real front and you can measure the lip (I don't remember off-hand) and lay thin abs strips of the right gauge to make it the perfect size Quote
oscarboo Posted May 9, 2016 Report Posted May 9, 2016 I wish someone in Australia was all over this stuff, this hobby im about to partake in is going to be sooooooo expensive, fun no doubt but expensive Quote
SlyFox740[TK] Posted May 9, 2016 Report Posted May 9, 2016 Instead of resin replicas there's now plastic replicas available. Here is a great vendor;

https://www.ebay.ca/ulk/itm/262338842976 Quote

The default is one of the "litteral" ones. Might grab on at pay day. Quote

I chose the 220V version. yoycart website replica counter The counter has arrived. I made some pictures. Hengstler counter replica (chinese copy) Full ABS housing, but dimensions are the same. I hope the information is useful. Unfortunately, the original is very expensive. (I only get $ 500 a month for work) 1 Quote
