I think the only changes I have to make are...

  • Plastic square buttons on the ends of the plastic belt (therefor I have to make the belt slightly longer)
  • Change the attachment of the thigh ammo belt and make it rounder
  • grind off the integrated T-track on the blaster and drill a new row of holes instead.

Can anybody see anything else I have to change?

//Edit: Oh - forgot about those two little guys:

I can see a few things that may need attention, Christoph...

1.  The ABS belt does need to be longer to accommodate the buttons, as you mentioned, but it also need to sit much higher on your ab.  It should be touching or even overlapping the ab button plate just a hair.

2.  The canvas(?) belt seems really loose.  Can you tighten it up?

3.  The rivets on the thigh ammo belt need to be painted white. (Easy fix)

4.  I noticed there is a 1 inch elastic strap holding your chest plate to the back plate.  This I would get rid of.

5.  The calf closure on your right leg has the overlap on the wrong side.  This should not be too hard to change.

6.  I would try to even out the level of your drop boxes, they should be touching or really close to the ABS belt.  (Not a necessity, per se, just aesthetics).

7.  Your left thigh and shin should have the cover strip facing the front to match the right ones.  Some foam padding strips could help. (I had the same problem).

8.  The tops of your thighs are not really symmetrical, or at the same height.  Break out the Dremel! LOL

Just some constructive advice to help you make your armor look better... Hope it helps!

1. This is impossible, because the lower part of the abdomen (crotch) is split at the FX. If I put the belt higher, you will see the gap.

2. (the upper layer is made out of canvas and) it should be possible to tighten it up a bit.

3. I have to replace them anyway, so I can easily paint them :)

4. the elastic is attached with velcro on both ends, so I can remove it quickly.

5. yep that's easy to change

6. Even if it's not necessary - it's an easy change! ;)

7. I will try the foam - thanks

8. I don't have the cojones to dremel anything on the edges :D This is too dangerous for me!

Thanks for all the hints :)

// The pictures are not all up to date this is only to get an impression of what I have to do.

Looking forward to the pics. Have an old fx kit I am in the middle of ripping apart and rebuilding myself. Will be good to see how you get on!
