ANOVOS OT Stormtrooper Armour Instructions

To all those who ordered Original Trilogy Stormtrooper kits from ANOVOS:

ANOVOS has sent out "instructions", and to the best of my knowledge those instructions have not been vetted by members of FISD (whitearmor.net). Please be careful when following them, as they may very well contain erroneous directions as pertains to 501st approval. These are instructions provided by a corporation who sells Stormtrooper armour, and is in no way affiliated with the 501st Legion or the 1st Imperial Stormtrooper detachment. When in doubt, ask here on FISD!

A couple FISD members have already weighed in on these instructions other threads, and thus far, the consensus seems to be that these instructions are fine for basic approval only. There are some things that can/should be done differently, but nothing major. More review is pending.

The biggest no-no so far is that unless you're an experienced builder, don't go with the CA gklue as suggested in the instructions.

I am aware there have been, and will continue to be, a great many posts on this subject.

 

This thread was posted as an announcement, to warn prospective 501st TKs, about the dangers of following these instructions blindly.

 

It needs to be made very clear, right from the outset, that these instructions constitute a single opinion, and not even one whose objective is necessary 501st approval.

 

It's always good to double and triple check any aspect of your build, no matter what the consensus is. This is just a warning to the more eager new builders, to slow down, and recognize these instructions for what they are.

 

As always, your first best reference should be the screen.
