TehPandemic Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) So here we go! I've incredibly sorry for not making this sooner, I actually got caught up in getting started that I completely forgot to make a build thread! Anyway, let;s get into business. I've already 75% completed the helmet, bar paint decals, the lens and trying to fit that painful neck trim. I've trimmed all torso pieces so they're ready to fit, and I've in fact already fit the forearms, so they're ready for some gluing. I haven't taken much in the terms of specific progress pictures unfortunately. I guess I just wanted to get on without stopping every now and then to take them. I'll do my best to take more from now on! Opening the helmet box The innards Semi-Assembled Semi-Painted (mind the mess) Here's where I need a bit of clarification on the forearms. Left Right The right is much more squashed, is this normal and part of the kit? Should I leave it or attempt to gently alter it with warm water? Edited January 23, 2016 by TehPandemic 1 Quote
TK5492[TK] Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 No the forearms are more of this oval type shape. This should be fine! Quote
TehPandemic Posted January 24, 2016 Author Report Posted January 24, 2016 Yeah I thought it looked odd but realised the whole asymetrical aspect is genuine. I should be able to begin strapping early next week, or is it better to get everything cut and glued first? Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Cut and glue first. Get all your pieces ready so you can have time to make the million adjustments for strapping. Quote
TehPandemic Posted January 25, 2016 Author Report Posted January 25, 2016 Alright will get the arms glued, legs cut and trimmed to fit today/tomorrow, then get the rest glued up as soon as possible. How easy is E6000 to fiddle with after it's set? Say I have to further make trimming adjustments after I've glued? Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Ridiculously easy. Worse case, pop the piece int he freezer for 5 minutes and you won't have any problems removing E6000 glued pieces. Even when you glue it down, you can fiddle with it a bit before clamping it in place for the next 12-24 hours. Quote
Skye's Vater Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 How is the RS ABS quality? Quote
