Im looking to enhance the quality of some blasters marks I have on my Havoc trooper kit to make it look less painted on and amateurish.

I've looked around the forum and while ive had some luck finding topics on it, almost all of the links and images are dead, so I was hoping someone could provide some techniques and maybe some reference images so I could plan my redo better.

currently i am planning to use a dremmel and xacto to remove the old paint and create a 3-d blast hit, then painting the area black with a white border, and then using a combination of paint and black pastel chalk to surround that area for a blast scorch appearance.

Any help, or pointing me in the right direction would make you awesome.

I can provide pics of my current attempt if needed.

Pics are always welcome, Ben!  It would definitely provide a better reference for us to help.

Hi Ben, not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for, but you might find help in chapters #28 and #29...

Sorry if i wasn't concise in what I was looking for, im new to star wars costuming and I'm probably misusing some of the terms.

I was originally trying to paint blaster hits on my armor below are some examples from my armor.

but now ive looked at it for a while im just not pleased with them and think they can be done leagues better

I also did paint up the below nerf vulcan and weather it as a practice/temp prop though so those chapters you gave tino are a great reference to check my work against
