TKDUEUNO Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Hi troopers! After four months of work I proudly present to you my scratchbuilt E-11 Stormtrooper Blaster equipped with "Blaster Core", a lights and soundfx electronic module for blasters made by Irvin Plecter at Plecter Labs (www.plecterlabs.com) I followed the PVC Blaster Builders Club tutorial and blueprints and followed step by step the great tutorial by Dark Side Sith Lord that you can find here: http://www.darksidesithlord.com/my-costume...reation-01.html Some early WIP pictures: Quote
TKDUEUNO Posted May 19, 2008 Author Report Posted May 19, 2008 And now the recent ones, with the installation of the electronics. 6 leds for the ray propagation effect and rumbling motor taken from a joypad for the force-feedback effect: Bargraph, single/full auto switch and secondary speaker mounted inside the counter (a real metal socket one): Primary speaker with its resonant chamber: RGB Luxeon LED inside the barrel: The "Blaster Core" board wired up: Quote
TKDUEUNO Posted May 19, 2008 Author Report Posted May 19, 2008 And now for the finished Blaster pictures: Quote
TKDUEUNO Posted May 19, 2008 Author Report Posted May 19, 2008 And now for some details! The functional folding stock: The scope: Magazine and cylinders: Removable magazine with lithium batteries inside: Front nozzle: Endcap, also removable to gain access to the electronic board, SD card and main power switch: Quote
TKDUEUNO Posted May 19, 2008 Author Report Posted May 19, 2008 The metal socket Hengstler counter mod.890, with energy bargraph and single/full auto switch: The cylinders and wires: Leds on the barrel for the ray propagation effect: Wooden grip with main trigger and auxiliary button: A recap pic with all the features: And here's a little video of my blaster in action! It's been a lot of hours of work, a trip to the hospital to take a metal chip out of my left eye, a lot of sleep hours lost forever, but it was worth it! And for those of you who are wondering, I'm not going to mass produce these to sell them ; ) Thanks to Stomper (Tony) for the nice T-Tracks, to TK_MD (Joey) for the great counter, to Erv' for the Blaster Core board and to all of you for the inspiration and especially Dark Side Sith Lord for the great tutorial! Hope you enjoyed, ciao ciao! Quote

rogue4ngel Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Thanks for sharing that. Very awe inspiring. You would be the envy of any trooper. Quote
Billhag Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Pablo This just ain't fair!! Not content with creating an absolute masterpiece that had most people gasping for air you go and do the impossible and improve on perfection. If this is the Mark 2 version I really, really don't want to see the Mark 3 without some sort of 'health warning' and a re-suss cart. Sir, as always, I am in awe of your exceptional creative abilities Quote
Smitty Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Man that makes me want to take all my blasters and throw them in the garbage can. That is hands down the coolest E-11 blaster in existence. Quote

You make it worth it :) And Smitty, please don't say so I made this only for myself, while you're doing a great job in building multiple great blasters for other troopers! Quote
