I approached 5 different saber smiths and Kai was the only one that could/would do this. I sent him a reference picture and he made it look exact. I am really impressed with his work. He gave me a new update every day on the new tweaks and changes made along the way, which was awesome! It also only took him a few weeks to build, he had custom pieces 3D printed, soundboards perfectly installed. Gave me detailed instruction on what i can open/not open on it. It shipped from Germany to USA with no problem, well packaged. This is the guy you want building you a lightsaber. If i have any more custom builds in the future, im going to Kai! It costed me around $400, shipping included.

Here is his page.

Kai got this saber to a working start, i have since then added lights and moved the charge port to the outside and made a more sturdy handle from an old flashlight. I wanted this thing to be a close to the 501st approved pic as I could. I will post a few updated pics soon.

That looks amazing! Can I ask a totally dumb question? I'm clearly not enough of a super fan because I know nothing of stormtroopers wielding lightsabers. Are these part of the canon somewhere?--are they featured in books or comics? Sorry to be so clueless. I think yours looks great so I'm just really curious to learn about them. :-)

I am thinking of modeling the TK laser sword in 3D, then shelling the inside to fit Darth Vader Force fx innards. Then cast it in resin, attach some greeblies, then add in the FX parts to complete. If it works, I might make kits available.

Hi there,

Happy to see this thread still alive.

So, is it possible to still get one of these sabres?

Are they the one allowed with the TK Commander also?
