The jacket thing with Rey isn't a continuity flaw. This is just Finn's jacket. If you pay attention to him, you'll notice he's not wearing it when they enter the oscillator. As a real gentleman he's just handed her his jacket to keep her from the cold .

Just got back from my third viewing and spotted a pistol attached to a thigh holster, it was on a Heavy Weapons Trooper who sets up to try and bring down the stolen Tie Fighter in the hanger escape.

 

I tried to find it in the trailer as that scene has been shown before, could not get the pause right, but luckily I found it via Google.

 

Also the image shows some of the rear strapping.

Would this be comparable to how the Scanning Crew CRL is done? Except this is different characters in the same movie where the scanning crew is the same character different movies.
