Comfy Turtle Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 Hey i just recently got Sonnenscheins Rubber hand guards and gloves, and they are great, no problem there. but i was stupid and thought i could glue them on myself and naturally disasters happen, i used Loctite CA glue as recommended by herself, but i used more then expected and it leaked down while applying. i was wondering if there was anything good to clean this with? I read Acetone will do it but i want to make sure its ok before burning a whole in the glove/handguard. Quote
Sonnenschein Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 OH my! The hand guards will survive acetone. I'll try it on some gloves and will tell you later. I think the best you can do is applying some acrylics with a sponge. No worries, the hand guards won't take the paint. Quote
Sonnenschein Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 Okay, I just tried nail polish remover and it works quite well. They are chemical resitant gloves, after all Quote
Rob .T .[TK] Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 The chances of anyone noticing the stain is small , don't risk damaging the gloves, live with it . 1 Quote
Sonnenschein Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 Well, most of the stain will be hidden by the forearms Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 (edited) What Karin said, they are meant to be used while handling chemicals after all. Edited December 10, 2015 by Airborne Trooper Quote
