South Dakota Christmas Parade

Being the only Stormtrooper in the entire western part of South Dakota comes with certain challenges. Like figuring out how to represent the Empire in a Christmas Parade. Let's face it, a garrison of Stormtroopers is a force to be reckoned with. A lone Stormtrooper is somewhat less impressive.

 

So for this years Christmas Parade I needed something to help me show off our Imperial might.

 

With that in mind, I mounted a heavy blaster on a side by side UTV and added a gift box on the back. You know, for rebels and such. The tag on the gift box says; To: The Rebel Scum, From: Vader. Who says we don't have a sense of humor in the Empire. My girlfriend borrowed my Scout armor and drove, because Scouts are known for their impressive driving skills. No, we didn't crash.

 

The sponsors of the parade were so happy to have Star Wars characters, we got to slide in right in front of Santa. I was happy to escort the Fat Man so he wasn't accosted by any of the pesky rebel types. There is, of course, an obligatory selfie in front of him.
