ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 I've got a dremel, just too concerned it would be too "aggressive" even at low. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Take your time. Practice on some of the scrap to get the hang of it then proceed. Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Dremel followed up by sandpaper done the old fashioned way. Dremel will get the big parts and doing by hand will let you fine tune it. Quote
Karpouzian Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Posted February 2, 2016 Did the dremel for the larger burrs, sandpaper now... Time consuming, but it is happening... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 Get yourself a cheap facemask or use a bandanna, coughing up abs dust isn't fun Quote
Karpouzian Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Posted February 2, 2016 I don't know how I'm ever going to get these edges level/even. I know that the sides that get covered don't need to be perfect, but that is so many sides... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 Are you not using a metal ruler as a guide? Quote
Karpouzian Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Posted February 2, 2016 I used a Lexan scissors, not score/snap Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 The dremel and I are not friends. I use sandpaper around a large dowel or around a sanding block after lexan scissors. -Eric Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 On your long straight pieces like your thighs and forearms, you should clamp a metal ruler down and use your exacto against that to score and snap a clean line. You'll have to do that for your cover strips too. 1 Quote
Karpouzian Posted February 6, 2016 Author Report Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Even with masking the sides of these are tough to get... Oh well, I may just leave them like they are. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Edited February 6, 2016 by Karpouzian Quote

Cowboy Kylo[501st] Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 By the way, the formatting on these forums must hate iPads, as it is switching it all to html, and I didn't add half these tags.I'm using Tapatalk app and it makes it way easier Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 Tapatalk is the best bet from the iPad. I have the same issues. Quote
Karpouzian Posted February 24, 2016 Author Report Posted February 24, 2016 Yeah, I switched over to Tapatalk and it works well. Airborne, pretty sure I've got 501st access, but not 100% sure. If not, I haven't needed it yet lol. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
