Yes however, (disclaimer lol) as long as the cover strip glue has had ample time to cure, your water is above the boiling point and you don't leave then in for too long you should be ok, if not they come loose depending on how much stress you exert in a specific area. If they come loose in the process you just have to reinstall them, whatever.

Just when you think E-6000 couldn't get anymore awesome.

My protocol for curing time is 48 hours so that won't be a problem. - Yes it's overkill but it's a peace of mind as well

Note: If you can roll the forearms around your arm and find the sweet spot of comfort then the water bath may be a good idea, if not you may to take the cover strips back off, create some space between the two halves then reinstall the cover strips.

I ended up doing the latter - removed and repositioned strips to allow more space, and it helped a lot.

Overkill in curing is better than under kill, unless watching The Lord of the Rings lol add a Mr. Underkill lol

Well after Friday's pep talk - much admiration and appreciation to all who chimed in - and Angie getting me all revved up with Scotland the Brave this morning I have my eager anticipation to get back into game with a refreshed mindset.

I was able to get the forearms back together, solve the inner cover strip issue, get cover strips pre-cut and sanded, prep the ammo belt and got my thighs and shins ready for assembly.

Long live the brave and the fine members of the FISD - TK bound ho!

Hope the forearms are fitting better for you, and that all is still going well!

Forearms will be getting inner cover strips - then another 48 hour wait then a hot water bath to make them comfortable!

("bath" is just word I chose to use - dipping & shaping till form is achieved would describe the process better)

More pics will be posted tonight!

Sounds similar to my plan, but I think I'll wait to see your results before putting the pot on the stove.

Haven't seen any pictures of your white plastic in a bit. Stop being a chatty Cathy and get to building!

Aye sir - photos inbound!

This is what I hope the hot water will fix - black pointer shows where armor is digging in - white pointer shows extra space that I can use to help alleviate pinching

I used a photo editor app for the pointers and will share the link later :duim:
