Pyrates[TK] Posted March 14, 2016 Author Report Posted March 14, 2016 I'd also assume same standard for military dress boots, goes for armour. Make sure you can see your face in it, or it's not polished... Spare no detail sir! 1 Quote
Pyrates[TK] Posted March 14, 2016 Author Report Posted March 14, 2016 Dan.. you can polish my armor when I get it built okay? Laugh.. If I do it I'll spend too much time using it as a mirror to fix my hair! ~Laugh ~ KIDDING!!! Good grief 3 Quote

Pyrates[TK] Posted March 15, 2016 Author Report Posted March 15, 2016 Did a test fit last night with one arm prior to putting elastics in. After being referred to the reference pics and priceless guidance I've caught a couple of issues. I haven't removed enough return edge on the inside bicep so my hooks are going to have to come back out and some more scoring, snapping, and sanding will have to be done. The other issue I have is that my elastic on my biceps are too tight pulling my bicep up and creating a 3" gap between my hand plate to my forearm plate. Many kind thanks Tony! 1 Quote
Pyrates[TK] Posted March 15, 2016 Author Report Posted March 15, 2016 Now I have looked at the reference pics and found a trooper with a 3" space similar to mine but I'm trying to look proportional so that when I do my raised arm shots I don't look like I'm wearing a shirt I've outgrown. Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Ideally, you want the forearm and the bicep near touching. If you have long, ape like arms, you're going to have some space between the bottom of the forearm and the hand plate. Quote

Pyrates[TK] Posted March 15, 2016 Author Report Posted March 15, 2016 I'm going to leave the 1/4" gap for now until I make the adjustments but I have a bad feeling that I'm going to need 1/2" to possibly 3/4". Quote
