Pyrates[TK] Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 Welcome all to my E-11 blaster build or as I would like to call it: My E 1-1 (EH) Blaster build(s). Like so many others, I'm in the recruits line waiting for Anovos to issue words of armor deployment. And again like so many others, a shift of focus over to non-issued equipment and massive research here. What have I learned in the last month: Finding a Canadian supplier of E-11 blasters is difficult. The reason why: Weapon Props cannot be legally shipped into Canada. Here is the link: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/fs-fd/replica-replique-eng.htm So what is a recruit to do? Do as the FISD teaches and inspires: Get resourceful and make imaginary reality. I did eventually find a supplier on Etsy.com - QuestDesignCanada and asked Mrs.Clause for it for Christmas. I have only seen one review here by Knockerbot (thanks mate). Now true - one step closer to Centurion and problem solved, but it all just sat uneasy with me. After following so many great builds, watching the ingenuity as well as attention to detail or braving new ground with minimal resources with TFA around the corner. One persons comment here on FISD about the blaster left me with one question (Thanks Vern - TK 2392 Bondservnt) : How hard would it be for a Canadian Trooper to build his own blaster? So here we go (eh) lol! Goal: To build a ANH E-11 Blaster with durability to handle Canadian climate in the winter season with using a little resin as possible as it has a tendency to become more brittle in the cold. First templates here on FISD: (Many, many thanks again to Vern - TK2392 Bondservnt) http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25620-esb-e-11-templates/ Next to get back on the forum and learn mobile pic uploads lol - totally forgot to research that part Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote

Pyrates[TK] Posted November 9, 2015 Author Report Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Next step: Gather materials - for this blaster I'm trying to avoid the exchange rates and shipping to keep the cost low. So far this is all I have been able to collect: 10' of 1-1/4 grey conduit PVC @ Home Depot -$12 - 5 Plastic Halloween Drive Markers approximately 26" long -($2 each) from a Liquidation Store - to modify into "T-track" -$10 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited November 9, 2015 by Pyrates 1 Quote
T K[501st] Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) This really is a scratch build! I will definitely be following your progress, really excited to see this come together. Keep it up! Edited November 9, 2015 by T K 1 Quote

Pyrates[TK] Posted November 10, 2015 Author Report Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) Found some old survey equipment in the trash bin at work. Broke it down and a treasure trove of parts appeared! I have to double check measurements but I may have found hex screws that might work for the muzzle as well as some screws that could help detail the scope. Cut and dry - SCORE! Pyrates[TK] Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 Templates prepped and cut the 1-1/4" pipe using a pipe cutter. The 10' length yields 6 E-11 blasters. I cut 3 and left the rest for a possible future DLT-19 build (as I haven't decided on whether I'm going ANH Hero, Stunt, or as a Shock Trooper - waiting till I see my kit first hand). Pyrates[TK] Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 Keeping cost in mind - Gluestick $2 / Spray adhesive $18 Prepped vent holes with a punch ( a sharp nail will work too) and highly encourage to always use a clamp whenever possible Quote
Pyrates[TK] Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 Now to try and keep things as accurate as possible I used a 3/8" drill bit then used the edge of the bit to shave off the last 1/16". I used a drill press to speed up the process and for more control. A cordless power drill could be used instead of a drill press with use of a shorter length bit or a "Stepper Bit" Quote
Pyrates[TK] Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 So after I took that pic I got an idea for the inner barrel...hmmm.... Gack! - NO WAY! As the Kool-Aid Man says "Ohhhhhh Yeeeeeeaaaaaah!" Quote
Pyrates[TK] Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 You gotta love it when you get surprises like this from the family 2 Quote
Pyrates[TK] Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 I also used an engraver to lightly scribe the center lines, magazine, chamber, and cocking handle channel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
charlesnarles Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Is that a color change Anakin saber? Disney exclusive Vaders are only $30, good idea 1 Quote
nmcguff Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 If you have access to a 3D printer there are files that can help you build a scope and other parts. Check them out here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31703-e-11-blaster-3d-printed-parts/ 1 Quote
Pyrates[TK] Posted November 14, 2015 Author Report Posted November 14, 2015 Cheers mates! The mini sabers, funny enough, are Wii Accessories I bought for Force Unleashed from Walmart - they were $10 a piece about 6 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
