PGHtrooper21 Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 I am ready to work on the A.P. Plastic Waist Belt to Canvas Belt. I am using Binding Screws and posts. I know to measure the length of the Belt, to get the middle location and the with measurement to get the Center of the Belt for the screws attachment. I am going to use Heat to get a curve bend on the Belt.I will dip the Belt it into Boiling water to bend the Belt like I did with the Shoulder tops and the Knee Ammo Belt. The questions I have are.... 1. Should I drill the holes on the Plastic Belt before I bend the belt or after I bend the Belt? 2. Is there a diagram picture of the location of the Belt placement. I have seen the diagram of the spacing for the holster. Is there one with markings for everything? Andy Quote
riddeth Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 Hi Andy, i don't think you have to bend the plastic belt at all. AP belt is flexible enough so it won't break when you round it around your waist. I use AP myself and i didn't bend the plastic belt. Quote
Nosey10 Posted October 31, 2015 Report Posted October 31, 2015 Does AP armor come with a canvas belt? If not how wide should it be? Quote
Tolo[TK] Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Does AP armor come with a canvas belt? If not how wide should it be?No it doesn't. Check out TKittel on this board. He makes great belts. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
wingnut65[Staff] Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) For the holster location, I've been for an exact dimension as well, so hopefully we can get a determination. From photos I've seen, some troopers have the holster attached right next to the plastic belt boxes while others have it between 3/4" and 1" away from the plastic. This is the only tutorial image that I can find that gives an actual dimension. Is this correct? Edited June 6, 2019 by wingnut65 Quote
Coastertk Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 (edited)

This will help when it comes to attaching the canvas to your ab Edited November 2, 2015 by Coastertk Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Those measurements are indeed correct. Like Riddeth said, you really shouldn't have to bend the belt..., and I will second what Tolo stated.. TKittel makes awesome belts... custom fitted at a great price. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19803-fs-white-canvas-belts/ Edited November 2, 2015 by justjoseph63 Quote
