Hey guys, who makes the best stormtrooper boots. I've seen quite a few out there. Just want to get some opinions.

Also, I've noticed most are relatively short and there are some that are quite long. What are the most screen accurate, and best to wear?

Thanks,

Scott

PM sent? Is it a big secret? Unless it's of a personal nature, then post it up for all to see.

I use the Dark Trooper boots off ebay. They're like the Mark Cheng boots. All leather, but need to be pollished if you want that glossy look. They feel great and I've been trooping in mine going on three years. Lots of parades.

Here's the auction. Looks like profits go to charity now. Then again, those orphans could be making those boots.

I'd suggest browsing this part of the forums. This question has been answered at least a dozen times over. Here are some links:

And I agree with the PM. This detachment is about sharing information openly. AFAIK there's nothing secret about where to get boots, so I'm not sure why this is not openly discussed.

I second that. Spot on and minus the horrid CAboots smell.

I've heard about the CaBoot smell before. Is it that bad? And what do they smell like?

The smell is the glue they use to assemble the boots now. It goes away in a few months of being aired out.

Outside... in the rain... fabreeze... Lysol... repeat.

:D

The pair I had smelled so bad I sold them. Maybe I just have no patience. ;)

I've seen on Ebay some tall TK boots by Triktoys.

Has anyone tried these?

I'd like to hear a review, since I'm thinking of getting some boots.

Thanks.

The boots TrikToys sells are not 501st acceptable. These boots also are not 501st acceptable:

These are actually just mariachi boots he's reselling.

Any GML who approves either pair ought to lose their stripes.

You really only have three choices for boots:

1) Get a pair of jodhpur boots (you can get them most anywhere) and dye them white

2) Get a pair from Caboots

3) Get a pair from dan111h2o

* bonus: pray to the almighty that a pair of Mark Cheng's in your size appear for sale in your lifetime

I highly recommend this method. It worked for me and I love them. :P

How many of you guys have a pair of boots by dan111h2o? I got mine and they seem a little square in the toe. It might be the huge size I had to order for my feet.
