I've been a Biker Scout for 6 years now. So I think it's time for a new 501st costume.

The box arrived yesterday.

Last couple of weeks I've read a lot of build threads here. I'm hoping to get centurion status before the premiere of TFA.

So I started on the arms. Trimmed them as wide as possible. But it looks like I need to trim a lot more to make it fit.

I think the underarm part is to long for my arm. How much can I trim of (I guess I need to keep all the squares?) or am I just wearing it wrong in this first test fit. As it is now, it's going to overlap with the hand plate.

You can cut at the wrist as much as you need. But start by expanding the u-shape on the inside of the elbow to help you fit better.

Well, one thing's for sure: before removing anything about the length of the forearm, wait for it to be fully enclosed, strapped and tested in action to see it it's really an issue. Then It will be the time to think about that. To me it looks quite fine right now.

Good advice from both Germain and Mathias.

Get the arms assembled first before you trim anything. Once they are strapped and assembled they will feel much better. Having the forearm strapped up close to the bicep reduces the length it hangs down so you may not need to trim. But if you do, trim the wrist end and maybe the inner curve of the forearm.

Alright! Thanks guys. I won't worry about the arms for now then.

Today I've trimmed all the arm and leg parts and the shoulders. Tomorrow I'll start on the rest. The helmet is going to be the last thing I start on.

(think I posted this thread on the wrong sub forum, didn't I?)

I'll be following this topic closely. Good Luck Daan! :duim:

This is the correct sub for ANH build threads BTW, so you're good to go! :P

All parts have been trimmed. Now I have to wait for the glue to arrive...
In the meantime I attached the snaps to the armor.

Nice nice, a lot of work done in those few days. The dremel is way faster that scissors :P

I've been busy with the armor, forgot to post some photos.

Last weekend I finished most of the snaps.

But I don't have enough clamps, so this takes a lot of time.

Most of the strapping is finished for the torso.

And I started with trimming the arms and legs to size.
