randomobject[TK] Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 So I have this problem where you can see my face in my helmet Other than wearing a balaclava (which is my last resort), what things can I do to hide my face better? Right now I'm considering putting a black vacuum house around the inside opening of the helmet or something like that. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 You could also paint the inside of the helmet black, would give a darker appearance and not reflect the light as much. 1 Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) You can also purchase a half mask instead of an entire balaclava. Ā The one pictured here could have the mouth cut out completely, and your neck seal would probably cover the bottom. Plus, the top is open, which would keep you cooler... randomobject[TK] Posted October 7, 2015 Author Report Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) You must have a long neck Apparently lol. I even took out most of the padding on the top of the helmet so it sits lower. It's an ATA helmet btw. Edited October 7, 2015 by randomobject Quote

sylverbard[TK] Posted October 8, 2015 Report Posted October 8, 2015 This is why a balaclava or raiders mask needs to be part of the crl. We know its a problem and how to fix it. Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) I wonder if these come in black? Ā Ā Ā Edited January 9, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 Then you'll really look like a bobble head Quote

randomobject[TK] Posted October 10, 2015 Author Report Posted October 10, 2015 i just have long neck i guess Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 How much padding do you have in the top of your helmet, Hank? Ā I just remembered that I had a problem with the "bobble-head" look, until I finally realized that I had used 1 inch thick foam. Ā I reduced it down to 1/4 inch, and the difference was amazing. Ā (I could actually see out of the eye openings)!Ā Quote

Sonnenschein Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 This is why a balaclava or raiders mask needs to be part of the crl. Ā I disagree. They were not part of the original costumes. 1 Quote
sylverbard[TK] Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 It could be added as an optional accessory. Like Hasbro toy rifles and resin fakery. Quote
randomobject[TK] Posted October 10, 2015 Author Report Posted October 10, 2015 Think it has to do with it being an Ata helmet? Quote
sylverbard[TK] Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Ata isn't huge. It's the angle. Quote
randomobject[TK] Posted October 10, 2015 Author Report Posted October 10, 2015 It just seems like no one else has this problem to the extent that I do Quote
