These are only a guide they dont have to be exact so if you have to make them larger to fit in your armour you can

Are you precutting them all or doing them as you go? Make sure to prefit the pieces so you know you aren't making them too tight with the strips buddy

What is "too tight"? The kit I'm building is an AM2.0 and the cover strips line up with the creased lines on the arms and legs with no overhang. I tried to be as diligent as possible, measuring a few times before cutting. Perhaps they're too tight now?

I'm just concerned that you were going to go with the default strip size for the back without trying the part on to make sure its not too tight. Sounds like you're alright though :)

Ok I understand what you mean now. Thanks for the clarification!

I'm going to be trimming the backs of the legs last to make sure there's enough material to ensure no visible gap. I've already had to heat up the calves and bend them a bit to make room for my calves. So far there's still overlapping material and I managed to keep the shape of the legs fairly accurate. It's been a challenge to trim and make sure everything is butt joined properly.

I've consistently been told, and therefore used, the following measurements:

Arms - 15mm
Thighs - 23mm
Shins - 21mm

It's a bit all over the place. the 15,20, 25 mm is a little "idealized". Reality is closer to Tim's, but that cannot be for certain either. On the RS original suit, some strips are wider in one end than the other for example.

Seems so much bigger when you say it in millimetres. Metric makes me all warm and fuzzy inside so I'll be using those too lol
