Ryth_[501st] Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Don't buy this. It's too much work to get it to actually look like a decent stormtrooper. It's no good. Quote

civitanom Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 I'm buying my AM set and building it myself. Figured the best way is to make it done myself Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) Unfortunately AM, like most reputable, approvable armorers, does not offer the kits pre-made, but there are some that do, like RS. It is always suggested that you do it yourself though for several reasons, Timothy... The main one is that you know that it will fit perfectly when complete. Also, down the road, if it ever needs repairs, you will be confident enough to do it. Yes, it may seem a bit daunting, but with the help of the tutorials and build threads you can find here, (along with unlimited assistance from FISD members), it can be something you will be proud to wear once you are done. Not sure what area you are in, but there may be a local Garrison you can get in touch with and perhaps find someone to help you out in person. Many Garrisons also hold "armor parties", where help in building is offered to new members. You can check this link to find one..http://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php#garrisons Hope this helps! Edited September 24, 2015 by justjoseph63 2 Quote
Chills[TK] Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Joseph is right on. You'll definitely want to build the armor to fit your body, or else you take the chance of it looking wrong. Pieces won't fit just right (openings might be too big/small, strapping to long/short, etc) and you'll notice, especially next to a suit that fits right. Also, AM armor is probably the best suit for your size. Send him a PM and get on that waiting list. While you are waiting you can start sourcing the other parts, like tools, strapping, under suit, boots, etc. Good luck! Quote
