I started this build back in 2013, and have a few photos of the finished E-11 and the start of my helmet. I picked the project back up on early August and have been going gangbusters ever since. I have taken some production photos of my progress mostly in concert with questions for my GML.

My E-11 was the first thing I built using a Hasbro gun fitted with a DroopyDoo's mod kit. I still need to add the wires and a bolt.

The second thing I started is my helmet. These are the initial production photos. I have since attached the ears and replaced the brow trim with the correct size. I just received my green glass for the eyes, frown screen, and mic tips to finish it off. Im shopping for the paints. Has anyone found colors that are a close match to the Humbrol paint colors ?....Im trying to find something local.

Humbrol french blue and admiral grey and satin/gloss black. Someone insert that popular img of the different Humbrol paint code needed please! :D

If you're planning to follow the "move along" trooper the brow has a smoother curve and the rubber trim has a flatter look.

Also the best folks to advice you on a sandy build will be over at http://www.mepd.net/ as they specialise in sandtroopers.

I have the Humbrol paint numbers, but like Airborne did, I am trying to find a suitable substitute locally. Worst case scenario, I will just buy the set from trooperbay.com

Consequently, the numbers are Humbrol paint #21/Glossy Black, Humbrol paint #5/Dark Admiral Grey, and Humbrol paint # 14/French Blue.
