TK-1287 Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 What are the acceptable ESB gloves made of? I have seen both silk glove liners accepted along with the rubber chemical gloves. I have both, I'm just curious on what to wear in my submission photos. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 I like the sewn on ESB Style myself! Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Both are fine. But if you wear the silk you need to have the handguards stiched to the gloves correctly. If you wear the rubber gloves the hand guards should have loops going around your hand. 1 Quote
TK-1287 Posted September 12, 2015 Author Report Posted September 12, 2015 Thanks for the info! I'll go with the loops and chemical glove. Look for an application this week sometime Both are fine. cjdesign[TK] Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) Yes. Thanks, There is another thread that shows the pattern. I'm drilling at 1/16 Edited October 23, 2015 by cjdesign Quote
cjdesign[TK] Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Can "the hand plates have the correct visible stitching pattern" without being stitched to the glove. eg. stitch the holes independently and attach with velcro or a strap. It doesn't stipulate stitching to the glove, but only correct visible pattern. Edited October 23, 2015 by cjdesign Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 I suppose it could. But it's the same level of effort. So I don't see the point. Quote
cjdesign[TK] Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 Its a bit easier because I'm working solo and stitching to the glove without help is way more effort. So basically... it does not need to be stitched to the glove for centurion level - only required to have the correct pattern. Thanks! Quote
cjdesign[TK] Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Here's my test sample using industrial velco...works great!! ok for centurion? Now I can put my gloves on first and then affix the cover to hand Edited October 24, 2015 by cjdesign Quote
sylverbard[TK] Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 When you move your hand around does it still appear that the stitching is real? Quote
cjdesign[TK] Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 The hand cover was sculpted to my hand and for the most lays flat. When I make a fist, the gap between the glove and front of cover is minimal. I guess it depends on how much Velcro you use but in my application it works great. Make sure it's industrial Velcro. cjdesign[TK] Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) The glove I'm using is a Terramar Adult Silk/Spandex Glove Liner: http://www.essentialapparel.com/p/terramar-adult-silk-spandex-glove-liner?gclid=Cj0KEQjw2KyxBRCi2rK11NCDw6UBEiQAO-tljTqftqX8KrMLYKTx76Fwtw7veCYObcM39gJ-GO52i7UaAgFd8P8HAQ#95600 Edited October 24, 2015 by cjdesign Quote
