cha0s Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Hey guys, I have my AP kit all trimmed and ready to start assembly. I taped a bunch of parts together to get an idea of the fit and have noticed that the calves are to tight.. Anybody have some pointers to add a little room in the calves, or possibly some pics to help me out? Im 5'10" and about 185 lbs , my calves are kinda big. Quote
geordietrooper Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 heres a tutorial for your problem---------- thanks to tk300 Quote
Timjim Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 (edited) Yeah I used shims on my calf pieces, luckily they were only just too small so the shim isn't visible Edited February 16, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photos updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
Bigturc Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 I have AP too, and pretty big calves (volleyball maniac )! If I'd have to redo it, I'd use the abs strip method on my calves & other pieces so that instead of having the piece overlapping, they'd join with shims over them. That would have given me a little more space all around and it would have been perfect. It's still not too bad, they kinda join, but they always end up unvelcroing in the back! You can see the left calf piece not totally closing on this pic ----------- Still looking pretty good I think considering my height!!! Quote
